CM correction algorithm

Observations: Looking at the data for one analog link, a large fraction of the 32 strips are affected by the large signal deposit (example picture A3). A signal detection and masking for accurate CM calculation (CM=average) is required. Outliers can be masked in two many different ways: –Detection with a fixed threshold (all strips fixed and the same threshold) For example signal is required to pass +10ADC counts after pedestal subtraction –Detection with a second iteration and a fixed threshold (eg Average subtraction, threshold based signal masking, average calculation and subtraction –Detection with variable thresholds, strip individual … Electronic Channel ADC Readout Chip 5 A3A2A1A0

Observations: The real high signal contribution is easily detected with a fixed threshold The contribution from the low signal to the average is much smaller ! Electronic Channel ADC Readout Chip 5 A3A2A1A0
