I Peter 2:21-25

 Through Jesus is the way that leads to eternal life (John 14:1-6) ◦ It is through His way we have a living and eternal hope (Rev. 21:22-27)  Jesus gave His life and bore the sins for all humanity (Hebrews 9:23-28) ◦ No longer needing to make yearly sacrifices to purge our sins ◦ This is the greatness of His sacrifice

 It is also quoted in Isaiah 53 ◦ He suffered many humiliating and shameful things  Beaten  Cursed  Mocked  Did He call Ten Thousand Angels?  Christ bore our sins on the cross ◦ Something we were not deserving of ◦ It shows His compassion and love (Romans 5:6-11)

 Christ died for the ungodly and there was one request Christ made for us in return  Paul Speaks of this:  I Corinthians 11:1: Imitate Christ  Ephesians 5:1: As dear children  Philippians 3:17 Walk as the pattern  Christ makes it known:  Matthew 4:19  Mark 2:14  John 1:43
