Commissioning Plan for Physical and Sensory Impairments

The Plans The Commissioning Plan Is a short term interim plan to cover a period of review, evaluation and planning Contains information on our current position in terms of numbers of people, current services, and our current direction and drivers Contains information on current wants and needs gained from a number of sources Lists our commissioning intentions, stating what we intend to do over the period

PSI Commissioning Intentions What we will do 1.We will conduct a review of our transport contracts, processes, and arrangements 2.We will examine our preventative services and look for improvements 3.We will work more closely with Supporting People in developing appropriate support services 4.We will continue development of an integrated care pathway for neurological conditions 5.We will finalise the review of services for people with sensory impairments, and carry out the recommendations of the review 6.We will develop a Short Breaks Strategy 7.We will continue the Putting People First agenda

PSI Commissioning Intentions 8. We will look to develop Joint Commissioning Strategies with LPCT and SP 9. We will develop an Employment Strategy 10. We will look at a number of current day services and make appropriate changes 11. We will increase the amount of information available in appropriate media 12. We will increase the amount of engagement with people with Physical and Sensory Impairments and carers 13. We will work with providers and partners to commission further independent living options 14. We will examine options of recommissioning homecare within the personalisation agenda 15. We will support the implementation of the Carer’s Strategy
