Note to Readers Throughout this presentation, We have used the terms “nurses” and “regulated nurses” to describe the three groups of regulated nursing professionals as a whole: – Registered nurses (including nurse practitioners); – Licensed practical nurses; and – Registered psychiatric nurses. We have used the term “nursing” to refer collectively to Canada’s three regulated nursing professions, unless otherwise indicated. Data presented excludes NPs and RPNs in Yukon and LPNs in Nunavut. 5
