WHAT IS “ADHD”? Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a problem of not being able to focus, being overactive, not being able control behavior, or a combination of these. (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)

Adults - Lack of focus, hyper focus, disorganization, forgetfulness, impulsivity, emotional problems, poor self-image. Children - Doesn't pay attention to details, make careless mistakes, easily distracted, appears not to listen when spoken to, has difficulty remembering things and following instructions, has trouble staying organized, planning ahead, and finishing projects. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS IN ADULTS AND CHILDREN?

WHAT HAS BEEN THE TREND OF ADHD POPULATION? The percentage of children diagnosed with ADHD increased from 1997 (5.5 percent) to 2012 (9.5 percent), an increase of nearly 75 percent. The rate declined slightly in 2013, to 8.8 percent. (Figure 1)

WHAT IS THE NEEDS OF ADHD PEOPLE? t),

FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ADHD PEOPLE ? Children at the age of 3 can be diagnosed with ADHD. Some parents worry that their child will have side effects like weight loss, headaches, irritability, or sleep problems, but doctors can usually reduce them by adjusting the dose, switching to another medication (there are now about 20 different ones) Any child who has ADHD behavior may improve as they get older.
