The leveed area is the largest area that could get wet from waters breaching or overtopping the levee. A map of this can be found for all Corps built levees in the LA District (LA, Ballona, Upper Rio Hondo, San Gabriel Rivers, Coyote and Compton Creeks) at CivilWorks/LeveeSafetyProgram.aspx You may want to consider what may need to be evacuated due to a levee breach or overtopping.
