PROTO Process and Tools Team –Needs a page, proto.ietf.org –Has a charter but hard to find at IETF site currently PROTO working group shepherding –draft-ietf-proto-wgchair-doc-shepherding-05.txt –operational guide –in play by many chairs, in all areas –revision based on experience is upcoming

Comments (not verbatim) Questionnaire is wonderful; causes the quality of the documents to go up The process increases the skill of the Chairs and the transparency of the IESG On straightforward documents helps a great deal; on complex documents may introduce some noise

More comments Issues raised in the questionnaire were high value to the working groups It is hard to completely evaluate PROTO shepherding before the working group chairs can use the tracker It would be helpful for PROTO shepherds to be able to indicate that a document is not in AD Followup but in WG Followup
