Hemoglobin can carry both oxygen and carbon monoxide but no more than 100% of its capacity for either one.

What do these charges do when they contact a substance? The charged ends are attracted to their opposites on the substance and pull the substance apart. We see this as the substance dissolving into the water, such as when sugar “melts” into your ice tea.

When hydrogen ions are in large concentration the solution is: A. Acidic (below 7) B. Neutral (7) C. Basic (above 7) The correct answer is A. High concentration of H+ ions is more acidic and has numbers less than 7.
