2 Paradox a seemingly absurd or self-contradicting statement or proposition that when investigated or explained may prove to be well founded or true.

3 “Deep down, you’re really shallow.” It means that the person judges others on their looks and how much money they have. “Jumbo Shrimp” The words “Jumbo” and “shrimp” are both contradictory statements. A shrimp can be jumbo sized in comparison to other smaller shrimp.

4 Oxymoron a figure of speech in which opposite ideas or terms are combined and used together.

5 “Big Baby” Someone who may be described as a Big baby is a person who cries over every little thing. “Clearly Confused” Confused means to be unclear about something, and "clear" is directly the opposite of that.

6 Deduction A method of reasoning from the general to the specific. Deductive arguments guarantee the truth of the conclusion. A writer can use deduction to prove or demonstrate the truth of a claim.
