2 Role of vitamin d & potassium in the body Vitamin D Helps calcium build strong bones. Regulate immune system. Deficiency of vitamin D leads to rickets in children a condition that causes the weakening of bones due to loss of calcium and misshapen bones called osteomalacia in adults. Potassium [Vitamin K ] Vitamin K is helpful in blood clotting. Helps body to repair itself and heal wounds. Produces bone protein called osteocalcin. Deficiency of vitamin K may result in easily bruising, nose bleeds, and reduced bone density.

3 Recommended dosage for: Vitamin D Recommended from natural food sources, sun, and supplements. 40-60 ng/mL Vitamin K Supplements are not recommended, this vitamin should come from the food you eat and bacteria from the large intestine. Women -90 micrograms/day & men-120 micrograms/day.
