2. Process At the end of the semester we ask students to give advice to the next semester’s incoming students. Following is their advice:

3. Be Sure to Pay Attention “Even though the material may be challenging, it is easy to pick up if you pay attention and try your best! You won’t regret taking this class.” “Keep your attendance high.”

4. Practice “Practice makes perfect & don’t be afraid to ask for help.” “Keep up with classwork and homework so they don’t fall behind.” “Do homework ASAP in case you find you need help.”

5. Office Hours “Take full advantage of the help given by the TA because I feel like that helped me a lot.” “Talk to your teacher, they want to help us succeed.”

6. Content “…get the most possible out of this class because these tools and skills are going to help us in the future.” “This knowledge can go on my resume and is what employers are looking for.” “Have fun and be creative, it helps to enjoy what you are learning.”

7. Sleeping “I would advise them to not sleep through lecture because of lab and homework will be based on what is done in class.”

8. Read “Really utilize all the course supplies that are given – I had it bookmarked on my computer.” “Read all the instructions carefully.”
