Made spiritually alive in Christ – a new nature (2:5-6). 7. Saved by Gods’ grace through faith – not my works (2:8-9) 8. Designed by God to do certain good works (2:10) 9. Brought near to Christ through His blood (2:13) 10. Brought near to Jews, included in God’s promises (2:16-3:7) 11. Direct access to the Father (2:18). 12. 3 Using our Spiritual Wealth in Christ True obedience is the unrestrained indulgence of our new nature. Obedience to God isn’t just denying our flesh, though that will always be involved. It’s also satisfying our new divinely bestowed appetite for godliness. Dwight Edwards, Revolution Within

4 Humble… like Christ (1 Peter 5:5-6) All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." {6} Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up [exalt you] in due time.
