4. Grass Fight Why? The Texans believed the Col. Ugartechea was returning to San Antonio with a mule train that carried a fortune of silver.

5. Grass Fight What? Jim Bowie and his men attacked the Mexican reinforcements. Gen. Cos noticed his men being attacked so he sent in infantry aid. The Texans were able to hold off the attack until reinforcements arrived.

6. Grass Fight What? The Mexican army slowly retreated to the safety of San Antonio leaving the mule train. The Texans were disappointed to find not silver, but grass to feed the horses.
