1 Joint-University ISACA Case Competition Topic: IoT Risks and Security 13 February – 22 April

2 Objective To increase awareness and interest of the IT Security Field for local University Students To set a precedent for future Joint-U IT Security Case Competitions

3 Nature of Event Participants will form teams of 3 Students to analyze a case study The analysis of the case study will first be presented to a panel of professionals selected by ISACA in the Closed Presentation The top teams will be invited to the Open Presentation, open to the public, and will include presentations, award ceremonies and speeches from distinguished speakers.

4 Target Audience The competition will be open to all suitable undergraduate university students who are able to form teams and gain faculty approval The Open Presentation event will be open to the public and will focus on bringing interested students, professionals and academic faculty together

5 Event Highlights First Case Competition for students in Hong Kong related to IT Security Cash Prizes given to the top 3 teams as supported by the ISACA HK Chapter: 1 st Place: 15,000HKD, 2 nd Place: 9,000HKD, 3 rd Place: 6,000HKD Open Presentation event will be held at one of the organizing universities (HKUST or CityU)

8 Overview Organized by ISGs of City University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Officially endorsed by the ISACA China HK Chapter First Joint-University Case Competition for IT Security in Hong Kong Open to all suitable students from tertiary education institutions in Hong Kong

9 What Is ISACA ? Previously known as Information Systems Assurance and Control Association Advocate for the profession and knowledge of Information Systems governance and assurance globally ISACA China HK Chapter established in 1982, one of the largest chapters in the world with over 4,000 members.

10 What Is ISG ? ISACA Student Group Officially recognized representatives of ISACA in universities Mission Support Students to Excel in professional exams (CISA) Promote ISACA Model Curriculum Bridge Students & IS Professionals Stimulate Interest in IS Careers

11 HKUST ISG IS Department, School of Business and Management Recognized Officially in 2013 Formed by Professor Percy Dias Over 60 active members, many more alumni A HKUST student scored the highest score in the world for the June 2014 CISA exam

12 CityU ISG IS Department, College of Business Established in 2014 Led by Ms Janet Yu CityU ISG organized CISA seminar on 12 Feb 2015, where students gained insights from our star guests Mr. Darron Sun’s and Mr. Luke Ma’s valuable sharing.

13 Competition Online Registration for teams, until 13 February, requiring Faculty approval Progress Report to verify team’s participation by 21 March Closed Presentation to panel of professional judges selected by ISACA China HK Chapter, winners will be decided Open Presentation inviting the top teams, guest speakers, professionals, professors and students to finish the competition
