3. Pause for 10 seconds The thought for the day Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstandings to evaporate. Diligence shines bright.

5. This month we have had a Spotlight on Disability History and Awareness. I hope you have a new understanding of disability and are aware that how you treat others makes all the difference. Everyone wants to have a great life. Are you helping others in a positive way? People first is a good rule for all of us to live by!

6. Here’s the news you need to know: This year there were 127 entries for the reflections Contest. Soon they will all be on display in the library. Final results will be revealed at the GALA on Thursday, November 5 from 4-6pm in the Library. Hope to see you there.

7. Middle-school students -- reserve your yearbooks now. Reservations are being taken online-only at www.yearbookforever.com.www.yearbookforever.com. Get the early-bird special price of $38 which expires December 1st;

8. The Middle School SCA general assembly will meet this afternoon in the cafeteria after school.

9. The Harvest Dance for middle school students is tomorrow from 6-8pm. Today you may purchase a ticket during lunch. Hope you can come it won’t be fun without YOU!

11. The fall Box Top collection period has ended. WOW! Together, the students, families, and teachers submitted over 14,000 box tops. THANK YOU! That is over $1400 for the PTA and their programs and events.

12. It was a tight competition all the way. The winners are: DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... 3rd Place: Ms. Shuler, 4th grade with 1,085 Box Tops 2nd Place: Ms. Follin, 4th grade with 1,301 Box Tops

13. 1st Place: Ms. Scott, 2nd grade with 1,458 Box Tops Middle School: It was so close but..... 6TH GRADE IS VICTORIOUS! They brought in an average of 5.5 box tops per student!

14. The PTA thanks you for participating, and be sure to remind your family near and far to clip and save box tops for our school PTA. Each one is worth 10 cents, but as we've seen through this collection period, they add up quickly. We'll be requesting box tops again in a few months, so be sure to clip and save them!
