Name:Walker Beyerl

Introduction I chose the bison because it is on the endangered species list. There are about 4,000 free bison in Yellowstone National Park. Bison can weigh 2,000 pounds. Bison eat brush and bushes. The bison is a really amazing animal

The bison is a very heavy animal. The bisons coler is bown. Their hight is 5.5-6 feet tall. Bison weigh up to 2,000 pounds. I think the bison is a asome animal.

The bison lives in North America. There were bison long before people. Bison lived in Alaska about 35,000 years ago. At one time 30 to 60 million lived in North America. The first bison preserve opened in 1907.

The Bison were endangered but thank goodness they are no longer endangered. The bison were getting shot and killed. Settlers killed bison in the 19 th century. People killed bison for their hides. Can you believe Bison were once endangered but are no long in danger?

 Today South Dakota has more bison than any other state.  People put bison in zoos to help protect them.  Congress preserves the animals.  The American Bison Society also helped to rebuild their population.  I hope people go on and on to save Bison!
