ISAIAH 54:17 Isaiah 54 speaks of the future glory of Israel and the soon coming church He tells of the highs and lows, the ups and downs of its participants Throughout the prophecy he shares God’s promises of restoration, righteousness, peace, mercy, favor, and victory He concludes with an assurance of how this victory will come about

4. No Weapon… No weapon – weapons can be physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental They are instruments produced to defeat, destroy, or damage an opposition in order to gain power or supremacy

5. Formed… In contrast to what is created (Genesis 1 -3) To form a weapon one uses the knowledge of the weaknesses of their enemy in order to try and overwhelm them to defeat – Shaped – Constructed – Fashioned

6. Against… Anti, to repel, to rebel A force that causes a receding or retreat on the part of the one being pushed back; prohibit from moving in a direction

7. You… Includes individuals, families, organizations, communities, regions, nations… A personal attack to thwart the plans of another to advance in any capacity that produces success

8. Shall Prosper… The sense in this word there shall not be final or ultimate prosperity. It may be permitted for a time to appear to prosper, but will NOT have final or complete success

9. No Weapon Formed Against You Shall Prosper There is not an instrument ever designed to bring harm or destruction to us that will be able to fulfill its purpose IT WON’T WORK
