1. Joseph Goebbels Joseph Goebbels was born in 1897 and died in 1945.
Goebbels was Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda and one of the most important and influential people in Nazi Germany.
Goebbels was given the task of building up Nazi support in Berlin, before the Nazi’s came to power, he retained this position afterwards and was given overall charge of the party’s propaganda machine.

2. Zeitgeist
Many influential German composers and musicians were very anti-Semitic, and this culture spread greatly throughout Europe.
Additionally, many German composers were Nationalists and pan-Germanists, and this influenced the politics of the NSDAP.
Overall the Zeitgeist meant that there was a large, influential selection of music to be played over German radio.

3. Reich Broadcasting Corporation

In 1933 the RRG was nationalized by the Nazi government and was used extensively by the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda under Joseph Goebbels.
The RRG became a vital instrument of wartime propaganda, especially by the daily Wehrmachtsbericht (Armed forces report)

4. Distribution
Goebbels knew that providing the masses of people in Germany was the ideal way of spreading Nazi propaganda.
Radios were handed out to the public and they enabled poorer people to listen to the speeches that were being broadcasted.
These radios were deliberately limited in range, preventing the German public from listening to foreign broadcasts that could have altered their ideas.
