32 Fabrikam wants to start using Microsoft Azure and pay only for what they use They start using Azure in January and are billed for $3,000 of usage at the end of the quarter In Q2, they ramp up their efforts and are charged at the end of the quarter In Q3, they implement a large project on Azure and have no limitation to use what they need. They are billed $12,000 at the end of the quarter In Q4, things settle down and their usage decreases. Accordingly, they are billed for what they used, $6,000 at the end of the quarter

The company needs to support an additional 50 contract workers during tax season Each year, Contoso buys 50 short-term subscriptions for Office 365 for 2 months over tax season to support contract staff

36 Contoso is an accounting firm with 250 full-time employees using Office and Windows. The company plans to move to Office 365. Contoso buys Office licenses and Windows upgrade and deploys on-premises Contoso moves to Office 365 in Year 2 Office Windows 250 Office 365

38 Fabrikam bought Windows Server on Select Plus but wants to keep their Software Assurance when they move to MPSA and adopt Office 365 Fabrikam bought Windows Server on Select Plus. When their SA expires in March, they renew their SA only through MPSA In May, they trial Office 365 for 200 of their users In November, they buy subscriptions for the rest of their users
