2 ❏ Ebola is one of 30 known viruses capable of causing viral hemorrhagic (bloody) fever syndrome. ❏ The most popular virus of Ebola is Zaire ebolavirus. ❏ You can get it from blood, feces, or body fluids from an infected person. Description of Ebola

3 ❏ Ebola emerged in 1976 in Sudan and Zaire. ❏ There are five strains of the Ebola virus. ❏ 4,877 people have died in 2014 alone. ❏ We estimate a total of 15,000 since it started. (4,877*39 years) History of Ebola

9 ❏ Ebola is transmitted through direct contact of blood or body fluid from the carrier, though is still not yet proven to be spread by the coughing or sneezing of the carrier. Transmission
