2 Educational Requirements The Educational requirements for a lawyer are typically a 4 year college degree and 3 years of law school. Admission for Law Schools is competitive and an example of a great law school would Yale. The average GPA for a Yale undergrad is 3.51. There is no recommended prelaw major, however there are many courses in English, foreign languages, government, philosophy, history, and economics may prove useful.

3 Salary Ranges The average salary for a lawyer nine months after graduation is about 65,000 dollars. The middle half of the occupation earned between about 75,000 to 163,000 dollars.

Responsibilities include reprenting clients, owing clients a duty of loyalty, and staying subject to a strict professional responsibility.

7 Work Environment The working environment is usually in offices, law libraries, and courtrooms. Lawyers work with other lawyers and even judges. They face heavy pressure when a case is being tried. 8 Resume I Elementary school I won 2nd and 1st place in the school wide spelling bee in 4th and 5th grade. In Middle school I have made the high honoral all four quarters of 6th grade. I also volunteer at my church.

9 What I Learned from this Project From this project I learned that being a lawyer is not all fun and games. It requires a strict, competitive education that needs total understanding of the law to succeed. I still want to be a lawyer because I love to defend peoples innocence and arguing my point.
