Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 Combined Test Beam Production electronics boards on front end of all module types. In fall of 2004. Full readout backend electronics. Production modules with Xe-CO2 gas system. Performance meets or exceeds specifications.

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 Module Installation  Jun 28,2004  1 st module installed  Type 1  Type 2  Type 3  Completed installation in February,2005 BSS all modules installed in SR-1 on Feb 5, 2005 With Kirill Egorov, Pauline Gagnon, Chuck Long And John Callahan.

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 TRT Barrel

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 Barrel Fuses  Fuses are mounted on the Fuse box holders. Each protects 8 straws.  Final fuse boxes will be finished at Duke in August and shipped to Dubna.  Dubna and Duke have several thousand new fuses now mounted. We will test the lot at the end of August to decide if they are stable. Indication are good - No (0) fuse failures once the assembly technique was worked out.  Boxes can be mounted on the barrel as late as next April,06, but we would prefer to do this in October, 05. Barrel fuse x 6624 Fuse box holder

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 Services Manifold The top quadrant of the services manifold (coolant and active gas) has been installed and tested. It is now being used for the system tests of 6 modules. One remaining quadrant has been shipped from California and the others will follow in about a week. We expect to have them installed by the end of August.

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 Electronics installation FE assembly Type 1 all installed Type 2 9 module ends to be installed Type 3 23 module ends to be installed System test on one stack underway- Complete DAQ chain. Cosmics rays seen!

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 End cap ASDBLR Boards ASDs for both ends are Complete. Wheel Type A Wheel Type B ASDs for one end Complete. All others have been shipped and are being tested DTM Triple boards- One end (A,B) completed, 620 in process and being tested all will arrive by mid September.

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 ROD Production  Yale has redesigned the ROD for the TRT and is building a set of prototypes.  They will also purchase components for all of the RODs (100 boards) for TRT.  Protoype board will be submitted this week. Should have 10 prototype boards by the end of August.  Components have been ordered.

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 Management reserve for Fy06  We also need ~$30k for Jack Fowler(Duke) to extend his contract through installation in the pit, to help with services hookup and final barrel-SCT integration. This will be covered in part by a CERN associate position.  We need $90K for a technician at CERN from Yale for FY06 to help with final checkout of RODs - Barrel, SCT joint tests, and Endcap checkout.  Most of the work during FY06 is electronics related, and increasingly focused on DAQ and backend electronics issues. This will be a growing responsibility of Yale.  We also request $20K for travel for Chuck Long (Hampton) to help final barrel with SCT integration in Fy06

Executive Committee, Toronto August 3, 2005 Summary  Construction will be complete by end of September.  M&O well underway and on schedule for installation to the pit in March, 2006  We will require extra funding for Yale, Duke, Hampton to maintain the schedule
