1 Vision, mission, & goals

2 VISION  Vision: A mental picture of a preferable future (Gen. 13:14-18; 15:5-6. Jer. 29:11). God’s vision is unchanging (James 1:17); we understand it’s fine details as we mature spiritually; and it often outlives us Vision is received as we wait on the LORD and desire His Will as opposed to our ambitions (Hab. 2:1-3) God’s Vision for this Church: A body of Genuine Disciples who are the express image of Jesus Christ (Gal. 4:19, Heb. 1:3)

3 mission  Defines our purpose of existence; what we do or live for  Serves as a filter from distractions; ratifying what we do, how, and why. Satan’s intent is to distract us from what we ought to be doing; to focus us on the world rather than on what really matters (Matt. 4:8-9, Prov. 11:28 (MSG)) Our Mission in this Church: Evangelizing the world; teaching the converts to observe all that Christ taught; so that Christ is formed in them (Matt. 28:18-20)

4 goal  A desired END within a specified time frame  A GOAL must be stated in a SMART way S = Specific M = Measurable A = Attainable R = Realistic T = Time-bound  Objectives/Strategies: The sequence of measurable steps to be taken to accomplish a goal
