2 Vision & Value: Definitions VISION The act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be (e.g. prophetic vision, the vision of an entrepreneur) The stated aims and objectives of a business or other organization The ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom VALUES Important and lasting beliefs or ideals shared by the members of a culture about what is good or bad and desirable or undesirable. Values have major influence on a person's behaviour and attitude and serve as broad guidelines in all situations. Some common business values are fairness, innovation & community involvement.

Great Commandment a.To minister to the Lord continuously through music, singing and prayer as NT priests and to establish a lifestyle of ministering to the Lord as a part of fulfilling the First Commandment (e.g. Isa 56:6-7, Amos 9:11, Rev 4-5). b.To restore the First Commandment to the first place in the church of Sydney by becoming a model of a community that does the First Commandment first (Matt 22:37-38).

Great Commission a.To raise up priestly ‘forerunners’ by equipping them so that they may grow and mature to know the Lord intimately and deeply, and to understand the times and seasons so that they may prepare themselves for the coming of Jesus Christ our Lord (e.g. Matt 24-25). b.To prepare a generation of children to be priestly ‘forerunners’ (e.g. Deuteronomy 6). c.To have an enhanced understanding of the connection between the marketplace and the house of prayer (e.g. Haggai) and to pray for the marketplace. d.To establish a connection between the ‘prayer movement’ and the ‘mission movement’ by partnering in prayer with churches and mission organisations to fulfil the Great Commission (e.g. Acts 13:1-3).

18 God has a mind! 1 Corinthians 2:16 For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. Romans 11:34 "For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counsellor?" Romans 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 12:1-2 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to [shaped by] this world, but be transformed [metamorphosis] by the [spiritual] renewing of your mind, that you may prove [discover, test, demonstrate] what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 21 Mind - Summary 1.Our mind can be influenced by and conformed to 2 things: i.The world (and its ruler, the Satan) ii.God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) 2.Our mind can be transformed by the Spirit and the Word of God (i.e. Encounters of Revelation) 3.The purpose of this is to discover, discern and demonstrate the good, pleasing and perfect will of God!

27 Body - Summary 1.The body of a Christian is not his own. 2.The body of a Christian is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. 3.The body of a Christian is a temple of God. 4.Therefore, when we worship God in our body: i.We glorify the Father ii.We magnify the Son iii.We please the Holy Spirit 5.Conversely, when we sin in our body: i.We defile His temple ii.We grieve the Spirit

29 Kind of Conclusions 1.The VISIONS are what God is desiring us to fulfil. 2.The mind is what controls and directs The body to do the work to fulfil the visions. 3.Therefore, the VALUES are what shapes (& constructs) and forms (& transforms) our mind to discipline and command our bodies to work and continue to work to fulfil the VISIONS.
