Human Cloning Jessica Romero CS 301

 Why clone a human? To Prove sciences can do anything. Create organs for transplant.  What is wrong with cloning a human? Human creation can only be done through God, so cloning is playing God.  Is playing God immoral? Yes, since is trying to replace the creation process created by God with one of sciences invention.

 Is human cloning moral or immoral? Cloning is immoral because it violates the dignity of the human person which is unique and unrepeatable.  Consequences There is no guarantee that cloned humans will be normal. They may be born disabled. Cloned people would have a reduced life expectancy and emotional problems.

 Examples A child born from an adult DNA cloning from his father would be, in effect, a delayed twin of one of his parents. That has never happened before and may lead to emotional difficulties. When cloning goes wrong with animals Video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=susA3 AY068o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=susA3 AY068o Can this occurs to humans?

 Conclusions: Cloning is immoral Three primary types of human cloning: 1. Making babies (reproductive cloning). 2. Producing stem cells (therapeutic cloning). 3. Basic research All three types are disrespect to the dignity of human life. No human life should ever be produced to be destroyed for the benefit of another.
