Most Important Next Step If You Now Want to Impact Students…  Give Students Feedback From the Formative Assessments  Do not put a grade on it, as soon as students see a grade that is what they are fixated on and their effort or attitude to improve or believe they need to improve is now altered  Descriptive, but don’t fix it for them  Require students to make the changes, as if they don’t they won’t apply your feedback and it’s lost  Give small and realistic changes at a time – don’t tackle everything at once
