2 About AITP at USD AITP at USD is a student chapter of the Association of Informational Technology Professionals at University of San Diego.

3 AITP Objectives Our goals is to help students interested in IT Meet People Working in their Field of Interest! Learn About Career and Business Opportunities Stay Connected with the world of the new IT Profession!

4 Why is AITP needed on Campus Minimal resources offered on campus to help students with IT interest But AITP will help students reach their goals through Workshop events Training programs Prepare students for AITP conferences and contests

5 Activities that AITP will Offer ACTIVITY ONE Will provide Entertainment/ Social Venues to students where they will meet people with their Field of Interest. This activity includes: Game Days Bowling Picnics Pizza Nights ACTIVITY TWO Will include professional events where students will investigate possible careers and meet professionals.This activity includes: Guest speaker series Information sessions Career days Tech company tours We will host activities that fulfill the following Activities criteria

6 Our Goals Have at least 75 members by the end of the semester Host Activity ONE in the first semester, and Activity TWO in the following semester Have 2-3 cooperate sponsors by the end of the year To be the leader AITP in the region

7 Activities Requirements & Characteristics ACTIVITY ONE Negotiate prices with the places (outside campus)where the event will be held at. And try to get students discounts or discounts for large. receive funds from Associated students Include a tournament in the event Require students to pay fees ($10-$20) for attending the event Contact business and computer science organizations to contribute in planning events ACTIVITY TWO Contact professionals and Alumni with IT background to speak about their experiences with fellow students. Contact career services to facilitate tours in Tech companies. Contact USD Alumni who are working in an IT industry, and see if it is possible to plan a visit to the headquarters they are working in. Make transportation plans with the tram services and the university ministry. Work with SBA to make the events that AITP is hosting a possible 1-3 passport points

8 Analysis of Option and Recommendation Our options shall include but not limited to the following: Volunteers needed to help in hosting events on/off campus; Guest speakers; Website, and accounts on social media; Marketing materials; Spaces to host events.

9 Budget Estimate We are expecting to pay more for Activity 1, because the only thing we need for Activity 2 is food, and marketing materials CostsExpected Values Venue Space: provided by USD$0.00 Marketing Materials$200.00 Events Catering$500 Venue: Space outside campus$20 per person (assuming 75 max will attend) Miscellaneous$200.00 Total:$2400

12 Potential Risks High costs risks aren’t associated with the creation of this club We might not have the expected number of attendees or members Professionals communicated might not respond The existence of other Business organization creates competition

13 Risk Management Strategies Conduct weekly meeting with Excutive members Be aware of what is happening on campus, and figure out our potential members needs Have authentic activates Respond and listien to students’ recommendation and needs
