3 Placement Test Where do I find the placement test? -in the Pink Assessment Book (p. 18 for every level) - there is a placement test overview that tells how to give and score the test - then there is an evaluation chart to score the test - There are directions to tell you what to say while giving the test - the actual test is next

4 Placement Test When do you give the placement test? - beginning of the school year - if a new student is added to your caseload How do I know which placement test to give? - start with the level that corresponds to their grade level - depending on their percentage you may have to give an additional test (see Assessment Book)

5 Placement Test Do I keep the placement test? - YES! Keep the placement test in a folder for that student. This is documentation that may be needed if the student is considered for testing for special education services. It also helps you keep track of what that student started out the RTI program knowing.

6 Keeping Records There are charts to record weekly data in the pink Assessment Book and in the Teacher’s Guide.

7 Fluency Progress Chart Where do I find it? – back of the Teacher’s Guide How do I use it? – use this chart to keep track of the student’s fluency every week What does it look like?

8 Word/Sentence Reading Chart back of the Teacher’s Guide Words /Sentences are in the back of the Teacher’s Guide There is one per unit there also is a word list for each unit and week that could help with this in the back of the Teacher’s Guide What does it look like?

9 Record Chart for Unit Tests - Pink Assessment book Fluency Progress Chart - Pink Assessment Book - This one is to record fluency from unit to unit

10 Narrative Retelling Scoring Rubric and Chart - This is used with the reading portion of the unit test and the mid-unit readings Expository Retelling Scoring Rubric and Chart - This is used with the reading portion of the unit test and the mid-unit readings

11 Retelling Progress Chart -Where do I find it? -Pink Assessment Book - What is this form used for? -This form is used to record the results from the Narrative Retelling and Expository Retelling sheets
