1. To Change the background color of the slide, choose Format / Background, which will bring up the following dialog box: Choose Fill Effects. This will bring up another dialog box: Choose the color and / or style, then click OK. Now will have a background with the color you want.

2. To insert WordArt, choose Insert / Pictures / WordArt. It will open a dialog box like this: Now, click on one of the boxes, then click OK: In this dialog box, type the text you want to appear with the special effect and click OK. This is how it will appear on your slide.

3. To apply a different presentation design to the slide, go to Format / Apply Design: Select the design you like and click Apply: Now the slide will appear as the design you picked.
