3 Schedule As of 1/19: work with protons in AGS behind RHIC operations. Physics store (as of 1/19): 111x111, 1.2x10 9 Au/bunch, ~93% efficiency. Turnaround time is close to 30 minutes. On 1/14, at 19:00, Stochastic Cooling was for the first time successfully turned on in Yellow (see K. Brown’s talk next) !! Over the long weekend, 16 4-hours store have been delivered. A few hours were lost on Sunday due to an abort kicker pre-fire and yo1-th8 that had to be replaced. Recent issues dealt with: –AGS J7 plunging target: taken out during maintenance; –recovery from APEX/Maintenance: delayed due to a short in the Booster F6 extraction septum magnet + LLRF setup change (software/coding issue); –Yellow longitudinal stochastic cooling: vacuum problem, kickers not operating; –beam rebucketing: still under investigation, possible 8h beam development period on 1/21.
