1. Chief Apostle Visits-50 Years On

2. Chief Apostle Walter Schmidt
The first visit was by Chief Apostle Walter Schmidt in 1965.
He held 4 divine services in the Goodwood showgrounds.
These services took place on Good Friday and Easter Sunday on the 16 and 18th of April 1965.

3. Chief Apostle Ernst Streckeisen
He visited the Cape in November 1978.
He dedicated the new Silvertown church on the 04th of November 1978.
He held a service for the departed in Silvertown on the 5th of November 1978.
This was the first time a Chief Apostle held such a divine service in South Africa.
Sadly the Chief Apostle passed away 3 days after the divine service after having suffered a stroke.

4. Chief Apostle Urwyler His first visit to the Cape was in March 1980.
He returned in 1982 and held services for the closing of the year and opening of the New Year 1983.
His last visit was in October 1985 where he placed District Apostle Gut into retirement and ordained District Apostle Graf as his successor.

5. Chief Apostle Richard Fehr
Chief Apostle Fehr’s first visit to the cape was October 1988.
During the January 1992 he visited Namibia and the Cape.
On 29 November 1995 he held a service in Silvertown.
His next visit was from December The Chief Apostle held a divine service in Silvertown where District Apostle Graf was placed into retirement and District Apostle Barnes was ordained.

6. Chief Apostle Richard Fehr
He returned in 1999 and held services for the closing of the year and opening of the New Year These services were held in Tafelsig.
In October 2003, the Chief Apostle held a District Apostles’ meeting in Cape Town.
In March 2005 he held a divine service for the departed in Port Elizabeth. This was to be his last visit.

7. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber
His first visit was in June He held a service in Tafelsig.
In September 2007 he visited Cape Town and George.
In February 2008 the Chief Apostle was here for the youth convention that took place on Newlands cricket ground.
In April 2009 he came to hold a preparation service for the confirmands.
In May 2010 the Chief Apostle held the international Apostles’ Conference at Pentecost in Cape Town.

8. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber
In October 2011 the Chief Apostle visited Namibia.
In January 2012 he visited Strand-Gustrouw.
In August 2012 he visited Nobuhle North.
The Chief Apostle held a service for the departed in Tafelsig in March 2013.

9. Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider
In March 2014 Retreat East was blessed with the first visit of our current Chief Apostle.
In January the Chief Apostle visited Motherwell.
