Hence WISL has taken advantage of this reality to facilitate the process of getting carrier rates into internal FAIS format. However a computer program requires even more rigourous formatting to facilitate automatic processing. Hence WISL has specified a detailed format that is necessary for input to the automated import process. The facilities of the spreadsheet processor(often Excel) may be utilized to re-format the carrier spreadsheet. FAIS Rates Import Tutorial

In this case the Multiple O&D(Origins & Destinations) indicator is set to “Y” and the point reference indicator is set to “B”.

This example is an LTL quote so “N” is the response.

This is usually a result of differences in spelling by the carrier and the spelling of the point in the FAIS data base.
