3 T he bottom of the flag looks like an old buddhist symbol. The blue colour represents the sky and the sea. Orange represents the Hindus. Hinduism is a religion that many Indian believers practise. Green represents the muslims.

4 The Indians use the rupee as currency.

5 The motto of India is «Satyameva Jayate» that means Thruth Alone Triumphs.

6  The Indian parliamentary democracy has been managed by Pranab Mukherjee since two thousand and twelve.

7 The Taj Mahal is a big mausoleum of white marble which was built in sixteen thirty one in Agra by the Moghol Emperor Shah Jahan in homage to his wife.

8 The Ganges is an important river which is part of seven sacred rivers of India. It washes believers from their sins, Indians wash in it. They also scatter their ashes into the sacred river to have a better future life.

9 The National dishes are made of spices and bread.Indians use lunchboxes to eat at school or at work.

10 In nineteen forty seven,India entered the Commonwealth.Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was a political leader of India and a lawyer. He was important in the history of the country because he helped India to take its independence in nineteen forty seven without violence (for example: refusal to pay taxes).
