Uniform * Please make sure that all your child’s clothes and belongings are named. * The children can wear either their summer or winter uniform until October half term but after this please ensure they are in winter uniform. * We would appreciate your support in ensuring the children wear their correct school uniform with suitable school shoes at all times – no trainers please. * No jewellery of any kind should be worn, including earrings.

P.E The children will have an outdoor P.E lesson on a Monday and indoor on a Thursday morning. Please leave P.E kits in school for half a term. We will send them home earlier if they get muddy! The correct PE uniform can be found in your start of year class letter and on the website.

Curriculum Please see our weekly newsletter for more information on each of these topics. AutumnSpringSummer Gifts from GodInspirational PeopleLife in the Risen Jesus The CommandmentsReconciliationPeople of other faiths

Jigsaw Curriculum Overview The jigsaw curriculum overview will be updated half termly on the class page.

General Reading Your child will bring home a reading log book on a daily basis from Monday to Thursday to be handed in for monitoring/discussion on a Friday morning. Your child should read for at least 30 minutes each day. I would be grateful for your support to ensure the reading is completed and signed off. You don’t need to comment, a signature will be sufficient.

Guided Reading The children will bring home one guided reading book each week. Please look at your child’s guided reading homework book to find out the day that the homework should be returned. This will always be the day before their guided reading session. This is very important as it allows both myself and Mrs Morrisey time to mark the children’s homework so that we are able to discuss their written answers and understanding of the book during their reading session the following day.

Trips, Productions and Assemblies AUTUMN TERM We will be visiting the Theatre for a Christmas Production of ‘Robin Hood and Marian’ on Tuesday, 1 st December 2015 SPRING TERM Class Assembly – Friday 24 th June at 9.05 am. SUMMER TERM We will be making our residential trip to Buxton (dates to follow)
