2 What Is A Giraffe? A giraffe is a that live in African plain.
They are the tallest mammals in the world. Males are about 16 to 18 feet tall. Females weight about 1600 to 2600 pounds. Males weight about 2400 to 3000

3 The Life Of A Giraffe Their necks are 6 to7 feet tall. That’s a really long neck! The tongue of a giraffe is dark blue in color and it’s up to 18 inches long. They are 17 feet tall. That’s bigger than a elephant. Their life span is is from 20 to 25 years. .

4 Giraffe’s Eating Giraffe’s eat leafs from tall trees. They will feed up to 100 species of plants including mimosa and apricot. They prefer vegetation found 17 feet off ground for food.

A mother of a giraffe gives birth from four to five calves. Newborn giraffes are about six feet tall . The newborn calve weight 150 to 200 pounds. They sure are fat! The newborn calves ,as they are called, start to walk within a hour of birth. The newborn calves have nursing from nine to eleven months.

6 Giraffe’s Death Giraffe’s can die because when they give birth to newborn calves. They also die because the predators hunt for them and eat them. The population of the giraffes are decreasing each day.
