2 What is storm water management planning grant for? n Compliance with Phase II (refer to criteria sections A- G & K-L) n Document local program gaps and resource needs (refer to criteria section K) äCost of filling gaps äEquipment, policy, FTEs, etc. n Projects for future grants (e.g., TMDL, habitat/streambank restoration, ordinances, etc.) (refer to criteria sections H-I) n Implementation strategies and prioritization of action (refer to criteria section K)

4 Grant Timeline n Issue request for proposal-- immediately following Phase II promulgation (probably late September). n Workshops-- approximately early November. n Final proposals-- approximately early December. n Approval of projects-- approximately early February. n Grant agreement approvals-- Begin approximately late winter. (Quality of proposals will be an important factor in timing.)
