2 Structure of the Exam The SAT is a 3 hour exam, completely made out of multiple choice. It tests your basic verbal and math skills. There are three sections in the exam. The first section is the verbal. Two 30 minutes and one 15 minute sections. With 40 Critical Reading 19 Analogies,19 Sentence Completions.

3 Structure of the Exam The second section is the math section. It has the same timing as the verbal one with two 30 minute sections and one 15 minute section. Containing 35 Regular Math, 15 Quantitative Comparisons, 10 Grid-Ins questions And the last section is a experimental one, that can be math or verbal. And it has one 30 minute section.

4 Strategies for Taking the SAT 1.Understanding the way the test was made is just as important as the information in the exam. 2.Answer the easy ones first, if you come upon a hard just skip and do it later. (if you have time) 3.Leave it in blank the questions you cannot answer, points will not be deducted. 4.Use your test booklet as scratch paper. 5.Mark the questions in your booklet that you skipped and want to return to

5 Strategies for The SAT 1.Check your answer sheet to make sure you are answering the right question. 2.Do not spend more than one or two minutes on any one question. 3.Bring water and healthy snacks to renew your mental and physical energy during breaks. 4.Read the passage before reading the questions. 5.Some passages are presented in pairs. In this case, read the introduction first to see how the passages are related.
