17. Louis Braille He was born in 1809. He went a blind as a result of an accident in 1812.In 1819 he joined the World `s first school for the blind in Paris. In 1821 he met Captain Barbier who invented a way to send messages to be read by fingers when there was no light.

18. What did Braille do? Louis made the system better and students found it easy to use. It is now called Braille system for the blind. At the age of 17, he became a teacher at his school. He wrote his first book in Braille in 1829. He died in 1852.
