4 Main goals for CERN Attract a population of technicians from Member States, with no prior experience Give them an in-house training and on the job training, with both their supervisors and external courses Take the benefit of their experience gained at CERN to spread a good image once back to their countries Have a talent pipeline for Staff positions

6 2012 “feasibility study” Applications opened from 2012 in 4 departments: 6 candidates selected to start in 2012 and 18 in 2013 Offered employment contract with fellow-like conditions (1-2 years)
