2 What is Media Literacy?  According to the Center for Media Literacy it is,  the ability to access, analyze, evaluate and create media in a variety of forms.

4 Why do we care?  It directly affects you every day of your life  It promotes better citizenry  It helps you develop critical thinking skills that translate to your reading and writing

14 Homework  Interview someone from your family – a mother, father, aunt, uncle, grandparent – from a different generation and ask how their generation differs from yours. (may be email, live interview or phone call)  Gather your notes and write about the following:  Report on what the difference is  Agree or disagree and explain why  Hand in – typed. Must include who you interviewed.

15 For Thursday in class  Split into groups  Each group is assigned a category  Research and find the answers for each generation  Share Friday in class
