1. Building Your Own Number Line

2. Step 1: Fold your strip in half.

3. Step 2: Fold it in half again, and then one more time. You should have 8 sections of equal length.

4. Step 3: Using a ruler, create 4 horizontal lines using pencil (seen in green) below the line already given.

5. Step 4: Create a scale using the folded lines. Make one at either end as well.

7. Step 6. Create new lines between each of the existing ones (seen in blue).
