3. (St. Silouan the Athonite )  By obedience a man is guarded against pride.  Prayer is given for the sake of obedience.  The grace of the Holy Spirit is also given for obedience.  This is why obedience is higher than prayer and fasting.

7. The Truth  1 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Pet 4:11

Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them. Jn 12:35,36
