4 Downloading FileZilla Download.com Tucows.com Filezilla.sourceforge.net/ - the Home Page for Filezilla. Includes extensive documentation on how to set up and run FileZilla.

6 FileZilla Interface Menu Toolbar Message Log – displays color-coded msgs. Remote Site – displays Remote files Local Site – displays Client files File Window – displays contents of the currently highlighted directory Transfer Queue – displays transfer progress information.

7 Connecting to FileZilla Input IP address or DNS of the remote server. Add ‘.sftp’ for secure servers Example: Sftp://cs.franklin.edu Optional Username and Password Port Number – default 21 or 22 QuickConnect settings – Site Manager

8 Transferring Files Upload or Download – Method is the same 3 ways to transfer a file  Drag and drop – easiest  Highlight and double click the file to be transferred.  Context Menu – right-click on file to be transferred.
