Mesothelioma treatments are available, but for many people with mesothelioma, a cure is not possible.

11. CONCLUSION Mesothelioma is a rare cancer that can be identified in many ways, many of them being respiratory issues such as coughing, chest pain, and breathing complications. It is caused by exposure to asbestos, an extremely fine silicate that enters the body through the air way. There are a handful of different types of mesothelioma, but pleural mesothelioma is specific to the pleura surrounding the lungs. Many times, those with mesothelioma were exposed to asbestos at work- about 70-80% by breathing in the harmful material. There is no absolute way to cure mesothelioma, but treatments are becoming more advanced with new technology.
