2. Progress since last meeting Our Mock-up is found at CERN, inspected by CERN Engineering and found satisfactory. Our design is now finalized including shop drawings – machining drawings and welding drawings. We have ordered the material and signed a contract with a manufacturer in Iowa thru special University of Iowa contract. This company did an excellent job in the past for Iowa Space Physics Projects and Iowa Satellite construction. 2

3. Progress We have delivered our Sarco Design to the KU. We have delivered our Bars Design to CERN – Anne Laure. We have purchased small parts and items about 5K. We have to pay our manufacturer > 20K for the delivery. We have to pay to Pfaff-Silberblau >10K for Actuators. We have to also our shop, paint, laser-cutting, materials and shipping etc. 3

4. Progress Currently the components are being manufacured and/or ordered ( see pictures + Paul Debbins’talk). We have currently funding problem how to pay all these bills since the construction funding is kept at KU and they are not willing to move the funding to Iowa. All these items are under Iowa Contract with some special in- state arrangements for discounts and lower overhead etc for Laser-cuts, special machining at the company and UI machine shop. The shipping and customs will be another problem if the funding is not in Iowa. Iowa Enginnering cost is well covered thru MIT contract by Bolek. (Thanks to Bolek ). We are hoping to ship everything about in two weeks( including the painting). 4
