There simply aren’t any secrets in what action needs to be taken to recognize, avoid and recover from unusual attitude scenarios and stalled flight conditions in every category of certified fixed-wing aircraft. Knowing "what to do" is a critical first step but is rendered useless without hands-on practical experience actually flying recoveries. PROFESSIONAL PILOT UPSET TRAINING (PPUT) COURSE
This 3-day, 4.5-mission 141 certified course is APS's answer to the needs of serious private pilots, professional pilots (minimum rating of PPL plus Instrument required) and corporate flight departments seeking a new feature in life-saving safety training. This course combines the 3-mission Upset Recovery Training program with a thorough Spin Training indoctrination as well as the addition of Instrument Recovery Training. As in all APS courses, clients receive comprehensive ground, flight and post-flight instruction on situations from stalls to unusual attitudes to fully developed spins, including basic aerobatics to reinforce recovery skills. Aircraft upsets and unusual attitudes can happen just as easily in IMC as they can in VMC … recognize, avoid, recover if necessary ... be prepared.

This is a premier, 3-day 5.5-mission Integrated Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) program. This course was selected by Bombardier Safety Standdown’s Leading Edge program and global insurance provider Swiss Re Corporate Solutions as it represents one the most comprehensive, useful, transferable, and long-lasting Loss of Control In-flight mitigation training courses available in the world today. For professional multi-engine high performance jet pilots, this course is the standard UPRT program. Customers receive comprehensive ground, flight and post-flight instruction on situations from stalls and unusual attitudes to wake turbulence to alternate control strategies. Pilots also receive training on real-life scenarios that are recreated academically as well as in the actual airplane and simulator. Based on formal research of more than 100 professional pilots, it is the absence of all-attitude awareness and fundamental prevention and recovery skills that perpetuate Loss of Control In-flight as one of the leading causes of hull losses and fatal crashes in commercial aviation worldwide.
