4 Lesson Plan Day 1 Cinderella Reading Day 2 Cinderella Math Day 3 Cinderella Social Studies Day 4 Cinderella Language and Science Day 5 Cinderella Science Day 6 Presentations A movie (classes choice is shown on RTI Movie Day)

5 Day 1 Reading I read the Perrault version, we call this the original version. The students will pick their Cinderella Story. They will fill in the story map We will do an oral compare and contrast of their story to my story

7 Day 2 Cinderella Math On this day we have Cinderella’s Amazing Math Race Worksheets are given, students complete them, the teacher and I check them for accuracy then give them another. 8 Day 3 Cinderella Social Studies We will explore the Cinderella’s country, or origin. Students must use at least 1 book, an encyclopedia, and at least 2 Internet sites. All sources must be cited. A notes page is given for ease of research. Students put a pin on the map showing the origin of their Cinderella

9 Day 4/5 Cinderella Language/Science We have several poetry activities We also have a fractured Fairy tale. Students complete their research. Today the students decide if they want to present using a GLOG, or POWERPOINT, or My Facebook. They begin that process.

14 Day 6 Presentations Students present their projects during Reading/Language Block.

15 Transition to 8 th Grade From one single fairy tale—Cinderella to a wide variety of stories with many kinds of characters, we continue our study of fairy tales to develop an original story. Review of the elements of a fairy tale and some common motifs.
