Found systemic review (knowledge network search) Presented at journal club Consultant gave me info on cost – fluconazole cheaper than clotrimazole Thought would be useful to see what the general prescribing practice was as most people seemed surprised at the cost difference above. Suggested it as an SSM project for one of our students.

4. Outcomes Changes West of Scotland protocol to using fluconazole as first line treatment – equal efficacy and less expensive. Poster presentation at BASHH / BHIVA meeting
