12 12 CWG Appointments [5] Carbon - recommendations –Chris Field, founding director of the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology, Professor of Biological Sciences at Stanford University, and Faculty Director of Stanford's Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve – global ecology, satellites, atmospheric data, models and census data, vegetation-climate feedbacks, member of National Academy of Sciences –Cindy Lee, SUNY - Ocean carbon cycle, marine geochemistry of organic compounds, organic and inorganic nitrogen-cycle biochemistry, silicate and carbonate bio-mineralization –Scott Doney, Senior Scientist in the Department of Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry, WHOI, carbon-climate feedbacks –Stephen Pacala, Petrie Professor of Biology, Princeton, and Director of Princeton Environmental Institute, interplay between community and ecosystem-level processes, and the interactions between the global biosphere and climate
