2 A or an? If a word begins with a vowel you put an ‘an’ before it. 4 Replace the word ‘very’ every time it appears in the passage below with more interesting and varied words. I am very lucky because my brother is very big and he looks after me. School was a very scary place when I first started. The bullies were very big and very mean; whereas I am very small and I was very nervous on my first day. But my brother is very brave and he told the bullies that it would be very silly of them to pick on me. My brother is very strong and very brave and I am glad he is my brother.
